Henry The Artist

To celebrate "Green Transport Week" Henry the artist came to school to show us how to make merino wool into felt.
We covered templates with wool and soaked them with soapy water. When it was flattened and dried it was felt.

Henry showed us how to make friendship bracelets and necklaces from the wool. It was really good fun. As well as puppets and bracelets we made a big collage of things we see on our way to school.

These are the finished felt hand puppets we made. Look how colourful they are.

This is the mural the children made with the help of Henry. They made the houses, trees and various forms of transport. Henry took these away and put everything together.
